Dr. Fathima Nilufer Sheriff, who is an young and charming sculptor of beauty is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of “La Femme”, one of the very first beauty salons in Kerala which is located in Thrissur. She is an enterprising entrepreneur
who has done her MBBS from Rajiv Gandhi University. After doing her graduation in medicine, she has worked in Jubilee Mission Hospital and the Trivandrum Medical College for quite some time. Later, Dr. Nilufer Sheriff left the job and went to the United Kingdom (UK) and did her graduation programme in Dermatology from St. Johns Campus of the world renowned Kings University in London.
Following this, she has done another graduation programme in Cosmetology from American Academy of Dermatology in the United States of America (USA). Her innovative formula; Passion and Professionalism, had resulted in ground breaking changes in the industry. It was after this that Dr. Nilufer Sheriff had decided to follow the footsteps of her mother Nimmi Sheriff and expressed her desire to be the driving force of “La Femme”, and thus she joined the industry in 2013. Infact, her passion and penchant for hard work had transformed the Salon concept to that of a ‘Wellness Centre’ with an exclusive ‘Spa and Clinic’. According to her, it is her father, Muhammad Sheriff, who is the main source of inspiration and encouragement throughout her academic and professional career.
Dr. Nilufer Sheriff’s father Muhammad Sheriff is an Engineering degree holder from the Madras IIT and is a Post Graduate in Engineering from the Govt. college, Coimbatore. Presently, he is a well known business man who is running different companies in India and the Gulf as well as in Australia which include: Tecton Engineering & Construction LLC, UAE; Tecton Arabia Contracting Company LLC, Saudi Arabia; Tecton Engineering & Construction WLL, Qatar; Aqua Engineering GmbH, Austria and Prime 4 inspection Korea, South Korea etc. Considering the high qualifications of Dr. Nilufer Sheriff, several channels, celebrities and VIP clients have approached her for consultation. The “La Femme” was conceptualized and established in 1987, by its present CEO, Dr. Nilufer Sheriff’s mother Nimmi Sheriff in Thrissur, Kerala as a dream project of her’s. The main source of inspiration for her to start this project was none other than her husband Muhammad Sheriff. They have strived hard to be the best in the industry by educating and updating their staff on the current global trends and styles and thrive to be on top position always and in all means. Initially, it was her concept to bring hair and skin care at par with global standards by imparting training and regularly upgrading skills to benefit people from all walks of life.
She has been trained from international academies like Vidal Sassoon, London and Peter & Guy in Singapore. Having been trained in London and Singapore, Nimmi Sheriff was fortunate enough to have one of the world’s best Aesthetician, Dr. Tedlea as her mentor. It may be recalled that, unless for the continuous effort by Muhammad Sheriff, that Nimmi Sheriff would not have gone to London and Singapore to undergo necessary training. Even, Nimmi Sheriff herself had made it clear that her family was very eager to empower and delegate the women community to the pedestal of glory, and ultimately this resulted in the beginning of their project called “La Femme”.
Now, almost three decades have passed since its inception and the La Femme has grown to such a height that the salon which was started with a mere single staff has today, become an institution with an overall staff strength of around 100 persons.
