However, he later realized the problem of running a company all alone, and understanding the fact that a much bigger and joint venture could be more beneficial, he has decided to start a new venture. It’s with the view that he could grow only through association, that he entered into the partnership business and launched ‘Colorrgrapes’. Praveen told ‘Cochin Herald’ that he is now planning to venture into the European market as a dominant section of his customers are there. As part of the new initiative, his company have already appointed marketing representatives in Germany and the United Kingdom. When asked about the competition in the IT field and its future, Praveen commented that, “Competition is there on technology also. India is facing competition from markets like Philipines, Bangladesh, Srilanka and Thailand”.
Quality of work and after sales customer support when taken as priority, the customer always prefer Indian market and when price is taken on priority, customers prefer other markets. Still it’s not easy as it was. Bangladesh market is competing close to India and it is also growing. While talking on the IT companies, adding a fun to his points, Praveen said, “ it’s not Bengalis who are competitors in local labor and service sector, but now in IT also”. For example he says in the image processing and graphic designing business Bangladeshi IT companies quote 50-60% less than Indian companies. But edge is Indians are trusted more. But a single and one time job, customers are price conscious. Praveen says the future is mobile APPs and he is focusing now more on Mobile APP development and programs which is based on mobility. People have started using more mobile than PCs. Earlier, before starting his own company called ‘Melanions’, Praveen had worked in a company called ‘Sify’, after completing his collegiate education.
