Savvia Pavlou has been in the beauty and wellness industry for the past 21 years.For Savvia, it all started as a young girl when she used to sneak into her mothers cosmetic drawer and try on beauty creams. However, the idea of entering the industry struck her after she enrolled into University. After gaining experience through employment with various salons and spas, Savvia went onto own a salon in Cyprus. “I opened my first business with a few thousand dollars my parents lent me and slowly expanded from there. This year, we celebrated our 13th year at www.QBeautyLounge.com.” Savvia also launched her very own award-winning Lash Strengthening Serum ‘SuperiorLash’.
An advice she would give her younger self who has just joined the industry is to never stop learning and developing her skills and industry knowledge. “Stay up to date with industry trends and service innovations,” she says.
Connecting with people is something that drives Savvia, “The human beings that we label as ‘Customers’, they are so much more than just that and I have always loved getting to know and connecting with them.”
When quizzed about how she unwinds after a tough day, Savvia,who also volunteers her free time as Communications Wing (Cyprus) for the Isha Foundation says, “I don’t tend to label my days as ‘tough’. I take fulfillment in however I spend my hours; whether at work or not, today is the only day we truly have and I like to make the most of it,” she concludes.
