With the women workforce growing by leaps and bounds, having the right kind of mentorship makes a world of difference. Dal Dhaliwal understands deeply the need for a mentor in women’s lives.
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dal decided to create the ‘Female Success Club’, an online platform that would help women to successfully start their own businesses from home, whilst supporting them within their personal and professional lives. The mission of the club is to help women improve in all areas of their life.
“I believe it’s important to do what aligns with your purpose and passion. I am passionate in helping women achieve fulfilling lifestyles, overcome limited beliefs and confidently create the best version of themselves and a life they deserve. My dream was to create a life of financial freedom, a career that I could do from working on my laptop anywhere in the world,”says Dal about her role as a mentor.
Dal, who is currently also pursuing a degree in psychology and writing her first book ‘Breaking Down Cultural Barriers’, shares one of the biggest learning experiences, “ I believe that it is far more beneficial to focus on one project/business at one time. Flow your energy into that ‘one thing’. Learn to delegate and outsource. You can’t do everything – attempting everything together can result in you feeling stressed and overwhelmed.”
Speaking about her driving force and how she tackles challenges at work, Dal says “Professionally my driving force is my purpose and personally, it is to inspire my three daughters. When I am facing challenges I focus on ‘solutions’ rather than on ‘problems’. I believe if we channel our energy into problems they grow bigger. I rather flip my thought pattern over and focus on ‘solutions’ and solve the problem at hand.”
